Telegram has announced the premium tier, which costs $4.99 or Rs. 469 per Month and includes a number of useful features.
The app's most recent update is now available on the App Store(opens in new tab) for Apple devices, and while most of the features are free, there are others that need users to pay a monthly fee.
The premium tier and its features are not yet accessible for Android, hence they are not listed in the Play Store. However, we expect it to come on the Android side of the world shortly as well.
What does Telegram Premium offer?
If you're a user, there's a lot. To begin with, the premium tier includes the ability to better organise chats. Users can pin up to ten chats in the main list, join up to 1000 channels, and connect up to four accounts. Users will also be able to organise their chats into up to 20 folders, each of which may hold up to 200 messages.
The premium tier also raises the maximum file transfer capacity, allowing customers to send files up to 4GB in size instead of the previous limit of 2GB.
If the recipient of this large file has Telegram Premium, they will be able to download it more quickly because the premium tier does not limit the download speed of attached media and files. While this implies that you will not only be able to distribute enormous files, but also that users will be able to download them immediately.
Premium users will not be exposed to adverts in public channels and will have access to exclusive animated reactions and premium stickers that will be updated on a regular basis.
400 GIFs and 10 favourite stickers will be available for users to save. If you want to tell more about your likes, preferences, and other interests, you can submit a longer bio. In addition to other features, the premium tier will include a premium emblem on the profile, similar to what Elon Musk is proposing for Twitter Blue.
